Training Schedule and Location

When: OWDA training is currently held Sunday morning. Tracking starts between 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. Obedience/protection work starts at 9:00 AM. Conformation training is generally held following schutzhund training on Sunday, as needed.

Where: The OWDA training fields are located in Mohawk Park in north Tulsa, just north of the airport. Enter the park at the Tulsa Zoo entrance off N. 36th Street, and go straight along the main park road (Choctaw Drive) past the zoo and the kiddie park (both on your left), and the "Polo Fields" (large open fields to the right); before you pass the Polo Fields, there will be a rock pavilion off to the left; turn in and our training field is in the small open field to the north (right) of the circle drive for the pavilion.

Please note that if you enter the park after approximately 9:00 AM on weekends, there is a $2.00 "parking" fee, unless you have a "Zoo Friends" decal (which gets you in free).

Tracking is held at various club tracking fields in the general vicinity of the Tulsa Airport. Which one is currently in use at any given time is dependent on local conditions. Right now, we are tracking at some fields to the northeast of the intersection of N. Virgin Street and N. 69th E. Ave. (approximately 1/4 mile east of the intersection of N. Virgin Street and N. Sheridan Ave.). The fields are adjacent (west) of the rental car return site on Virgin. Please contact us for details, or any further questions.
